All versions.  Every version if Digikam since 5.0 that I can remember
(not sure whick version introduced reverse geotagging)

This is on all versions I've downloaded, as well as build from source
up to and including this morning's git commits.

Hopefully this screenshot gives all the information in one place.  I
opened up the tag tree so you can see all the location tags assigned.

Well, that's not actually the intention. Only newly assigned tags are displayed. We can't distinguish between geo tags and normal tags either, that would not be very clear in the list display.

I would have expected that if address elements have been defined, a path for tag information could be determined and the information filled in. It was just a thought for an enhancement.

Maik,

Perhaps a new option somewhere in the settings of geolocation editor can change the behavior of geomarkers displayed on the map.

For ex:

1/ show new tags
2/ show older tags
3/ show both.

However, we do not differentiate between tags and geo tags, we only have a flag for people tags.
So we don't know which tags in the image are geo tags that we need to display.

Gilles, what we should set as a task for the next GSoC is a location sidebar tab. Like tags but with geolocation:
Country
|- State
|-City
|-Street

yes agree for something around the geolocation editor task for a future student...
