STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install kde neon (known)
2. install full gnome from cli (sudo apt install gnome)
3. do a few things (time delay)
4. deinstall gnome DE (also from cli sudo apt remove gnome, gnome-*)
OBSERVED RESULT
- files from home directory removed, apps removed, settings resetted to default
EXPECTED RESULT
- deinstalling gnome while also keeping apps and other data and normally continuing work on kde desktop

this bug happened at **night** while deinstalling gnome, so i dont have any terminal outputs or other things...
