Description Natalie Clarius 2022-01-13 23:27:05 UTC
SUMMARY
***
Changing the audio volume via keyboard sometimes causes me to get logged out of my session. This doesn't happen every time (perhaps one out of five times) and so far I have not yet been able to determine what might be the trigger.

I use a custom shortcut but other users (https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/s2w3cj/kde_plasma_sometimes_logs_out_on_pressing_volume/, https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/rlf77y/plasma_randomly_logs_out_when_i_press_volume_down/) have reported the same problem with the default volume control keys. I don't often change volume via the panel applet so can't currently tell if it happens there as well.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press a volume up/down key
2. Be unlucky

OBSERVED RESULT
I get kicked out of my session and end up on the login screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
The audio volume changes.
