Works for me with current git master in the Plasma Wayland session.

When your cursor approaches the screen edge, does it glow as expected, but then nothing happens when you touch it? Or does it fail to even glow?

It glows blue on approach. I should also mention that the Super button also doesn't bring up the Application Launcher.

Did your Application Launcher widget lose its Alt+F1 shortcut? If so, does everything start working if you manually re-add Alt+F1 as the shortcut?
Comment 4 Lyubomir 2022-01-13 15:39:38 UTC
In Plasma -> "Activate Application Launcher Widget" it shows Alt + F1, and if i expand that it shows "No default shortcuts" and shows "Alt + F1" as a custom shortcut. However Alt + F1 does not work too. The only way to show the Application Launcher for now seems to be clicking on its icon in the bottom left corner. FWIW Alt + F2 does show KRunner.

When you right-click on Kickoff and choose "Configure Application Launcher" and go to the Keyboard Shortcuts page, do you see the shortcut there?
Comment 6 Lyubomir 2022-01-13 21:51:00 UTC
No, i don't see it. It says "None". I don't know what is the default shortcut that should be there. Which shortcut should i input there - the Super key? Also, is there any connection between the shortcut and the screen edges, or they work independently?
Comment 7 Nate Graham 2022-01-13 21:57:09 UTC
You should put Alt+F1 in there. If you do that, I bet everything magically starts working, and then this becomes a duplicate of Bug 447962.
Comment 8 Lyubomir 2022-01-13 23:11:59 UTC
Your bet is correct and you win much health from God thanks to this. Amen!
