STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click on digital clock
2. click on 'Years' tab
3. hover over any year and scroll down/up a few times

OBSERVED RESULT
Plasma becomes unresponsive for a while (nothing happens when I click on anything in the panel)
and sometimes it crashes after clicks on panel during the unresponsiveness.

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasma remains responsive

Can reproduce. Happens with the standalone calendar widget, so it seems to be an issue of the shared component. Moving to frameworks-plasma where it lives.

Cannot reproduce on Plasma 5.25 beta.

ops, it's still happening when I scroll with my touchpad on neon unstable.

Tested on Arch Linux running Plasma 6 alpha and neon unstable, cannot reproduce.
