I have troubles opening Cantor projects with embedded EPS images for the LaTeX output and I cannot check your project right now. Can you please do a screenshot of the vertical line you mentioned? Thank you.

Danke, Helmut. This looks like an issue with the libspectre library rendering the EPS output. This library is causing problems in multiple places and we're trying to remove it now completely and use PDF instead. Until this change is finalized in Cantor, you can switch off the LaTeX-typesetting in the application settings. With this you get the output of Maxima in plain text format which also looks very reasonable for very many use-cases.

I also see you're working with "LaTeX entries" to enter text. If these entries are also causing issues for you, you can switch to text and/or markdown entries maybe.

Hallo Alexander,

using Ubuntu Mate 20.4 instead of Debian 11.1 the problem is gone.
