Description kuhlen72 2021-12-25 16:13:29 UTC
Hi there,

it should be possible to send folders to a phone. Not just files. At the moment music folders for example cannot be sent.

Kind regards

Martin

Hello! I support this feature request.
While transferring files one by one is good for very basic usage, obviously it's not a complete solution. There is many cases where one need to transfer directory between devices along with sub-directories preserving structure. Examples are:
- Music directory with structure sorted by artist\year\album.
- Photos directory with structure sorted by date\place.
- Books directory with structure sorted by author\year.
- etc
So It would be nice to have not only single-file transfer but also a directory-tree transfer feature.
    Thanks!

I also support this feature request, making it simple to share folders and ailes alike like with Localsend, should add a tiny feather to kdeconnect's ease of use. At the moment, it's either making a simple zip file, or sharing the files one by one. Not a good option for simple end users who would rather just click and send.

Hello! Thank you for all your work on this excellent software. I also would like to be able to send directory structures as above.

If this is unrealistic, please reply with rationale when able (i.e. security risk, memory budget/overhead), then we can notify others to avoid this request. Thank you.
