SUMMARY

When drag/dropping an email selection from the messages list and trying to move the emails to a folder that happen to contain a subfolder the Move/Copy dialog will not open. Using IMAP


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a folder containing a subfolder
2. Try to drag drop a message into this upper level folder
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
No dialog will open when hovering on the target folder name

EXPECTED RESULT
The normal Move/Copy dialog should open and the operation should be possible to do

Also just noted that a message under a forlder that has a subfolder cannot be deleted. Probably for the same reason.

Seems like the creator of kmail has not considered that you can have a main folder with messages and then create a subfolder underneath this for certain other messages. But still keep most of the messages in the base folder. A very common way of organizing your messages for some people...
