Description Reuben 2021-12-18 15:12:06 UTC
Using wayland, with external 4k monitor attached to laptop.

Set display as:
a) External monitor primary
b) Laptop monitor enabled=false

[This is a continued attempt at holy grail configuration of the laptop as a desktop.]

In the source menu of the monitor, switch from HDMI1 to HDMI2 to check on another computer's output. Then switch back to HDMI1.

Expected:
* Display reinitializes

Bug:
* Black screen which is unrecoverable from; even opening laptop lid doesn't do anything (because of aforementioned display config)

There were significant output related improvements in 5.23 (and upcoming 5.24). Can you confirm whether the issue is still present in 5.23?
