I noticed in two different OS that of late the Dolphin windows I have open do not maintain their location once I reboot. Use to be I'd open these two instance, place them where I want them on their virtual desktop, and they would stay in those positions. I would like to see where if I have multiple instances of Dolphin always open that I can assign a specific location for each instance instead of only being able to assign a position to Dolphin in general.

Can't you achieve that using window rules, e.g. matching the window title?

We need a little bit more detail in order to properly respond to this.
1 - What two OSs have you noticed this with?
2 - If either was Linux, was this with Wayland or X11?
