It's not an unreasonable request. There as been some hesitation about this in the past from within KDE. Maybe it would make sense to put them in another repo so that people could remove it if they want pure upstream app icons. No updates on this? :( Hi, I see Breeze is overriding org.inkscape.Inkscape from Flathub. While the Breeze version is not _bad_ at all, it's not the icon I expect to see. Inkscape being multi-platform makes the Breeze icon seem alien. Can third-party icons be split into a separate package for Plasma 6? From there the split package can be made optional downstream. To be fair, when the breeze inkscape action icons were added, the origin inkscape action icons look alien within KDE. Nowadays the Inscape icons from the Inkscape package look really good AND they work very well within breeze, cause the design language of the action icons are very similar. If we did this, we would also have to stop including monochrome versions of app icons for the System Tray, which user feedback indicates are strongly desired when using the Breeze icon theme. If only for that reason, I don't think we should do this, sorry. |
