SUMMARY

On the Workspace grid are two buttons on the most right button. When you Zoom in using Meta+= / Meta+- those buttons are not magnified. Instead those are always on top in its original size. seems those are located in an Z axes above the zoom layer or something like that

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Zoom in Meta+= (on german keyboard this means Meta+Shift+0)
2. Invoke Desktop grid Ctrl + F8
3. Look at the right button

OBSERVED RESULT
You see two buttons [-] and [+] always on top without any magnification

EXPECTED RESULT
the buttons should be magnified while zoom is active and they should not move along with the zoom Area. they should be visible if i move the zoom area to the most right button.

This is fixed by the new one in Plasma 5.25. Unfortunately the Zoom effect itself is currently broken with it. See Bug 453467. Once that's fixed too, this will all work properly.
