Hi,
just curious... i finally have a good idea to use activities... but: it doesn't seem to do what i want:

Idea:
Use separate activities for light and dark color schemes (and background pics and desktop settings) - ignore all other things (like apps), just remember my fancy settings i do in the systemsettings panels as indiviual setting per activity.

Problem is: only some settings are attached to the activities, like background pics and such, but general color options (themes, accent color and the like) seem to be..., well, 'general'.

Am i missing something or is this just not the intention of activities?
All the typical examples of where activities are usable are not really convincing to me, but such a light/dark color switch would be a nice thing to have.
Not all settings are met by 'well, just switch the theme, then...'
i already started to craft a script for setting all the things i want in one 'go'. But this seems overkill for such a simple idea?

Any help is appreciated!

This was not the intention.

You can configure scripts to run on the change of activity so you could rig up something to do this.
