SUMMARY
The network manager applet shows the speed in graphs. The lines that denote the speed are in gray colour the panel is constantly in highlighted state so these gray line are shown over a blue background. They become hard to see and look odd. 

The contrast ratio of the lines on the background is 1.16, which as per the KDE kontrast app is bad for large or even nomal text.

I am attaching a screenshot to show the issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the network manager applet and click on the dropdown to see the speed section
