Description alexandermasokin 2021-12-03 22:39:26 UTC
I have a laptop with a 144Hz display. I'm using the integrated Intel UHD Graphics. Animations looked super smooth, until one day I updated the system and now KDE is running at what looks like 75 or 90 FPS. I have tried the following:
 - Set Rendering backend to "OpenGL 3.1"
 - Set "Force smoothest animations"
 - Set vsync option to "Only when cheap"
 - Disable all vsync related features in my xorg.conf to increase performance
 - Install kwin-lowlatency from AUR (this seems to break some stuff such as the loading wheel spinning way too fast)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

OBSERVED RESULT
Visible jitter during window animations or transitions

EXPECTED RESULT
Smooth animations and transitions
