SUMMARY
I found that the package manager does not show some packages even thou they show up in apt, see attached screenshots


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Install MS Edge - https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/download?platform=linux-deb
   * If you download the deb you have to install via dpkg since QApt Package Installer falsely claims it can't satisfy dependencies 
   * https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libqapt/+bug/1952517
2. search for microsoft-edge in muon

OBSERVED RESULT
3. no packages found

EXPECTED RESULT
3. see the package i just installed

Also happens with deadbeaf - https://deadbeef.sourceforge.io/download.html

MS Egde adds a PPA while deadbeaf does not, this issue affects both of these while at the same not affecting obs-studio or openrazer

I figured it out, i needed to run this command

$ sudo /usr/sbin/update-apt-xapian-index

There really should be a button in muon to update the search index

Muon is no longer maintained, please switch no a supported alternative like https://apps.kde.org/discover/ or the package manager native no your system.
