The wallpaper slides because the whole activity switch transition uses a slide effect, and activities can have different wallpapers, so if we allowed disabling the slide effect for only the wallpaper, then the transition would be un-animated and unsynced to the slide effect. It would look terrible. We can't do that. Or are you asking for the ability to disable the slide effect for the entire activity switch transition? The panel doesn't have the slide animation, and neither do the open windows. I'm not sure if that's because I changed some settings, but yes, being able to disable the animation for everything while switching Activities would be nice. Thanks. Yes, ability to switch off the animation entirely would be good. I have also noticed a considerably delay in the wallpaper animation (maybe because I use really high resolution wallpapers) which makes for a bad UX. |
