SUMMARY
Title always shows despite 
Appearance -> [ ] Show Title
being unchecked.
Leaving the "Title" field empty, doesn't help either, but instead shows "System Monitor" for no good reason.

SUMMARY
Old system load applet hat a tooltip with the actual values of memory, cpu, cache, ... usage.
Current system monitor one does not display the values anwhere, but just colorful bars in bar chart, or if pie chart, a number inside the ring which one cannot connect to any of the displayed colors.

Additionally, if related: title always shows despite 
[ ] Show Title
being unchecked and the title itself empty.

I can reproduce something like what is described:

1. Add a system monitor widget (e.g. Total CPU Use) to a panel
2. Deselect "Show Title" in it's configuration dialogue
3. Hover the mouse pointer over the widget then the tool tip still displays the title, or a default title if you delete the title string.

Please could you confirm if this is the issue you are seeing.  If so, it is already reported under bug #430562

Seems to be the same thing, but then again, that report is almost one year old.
If you are sure that the underlying issue is still (more or less) the same, closing this one as duplicate of that one is fine by me.

BTW: I also filed #445570 about no values shown in tooltip either -- i.e. exactly where the unwanted title appears. Could it be, those two are related?
