You can delete the file directly by either holding down the shift key while the context menu is open, or by enabling the off-by-default "Delete" plugin for the context menu. Let's use this bug report to track the issue displaying the context menu when so many files are selected. Does the same thing happen if you select a gigantic number of files on the desktop and right-click? Or navigate to the folder with a gigantic number of files in the open/save dialog and do it there? If it happens everywhere, the issue is probably in KIO. If it ony happens in Dolphin, the issue is probably somewhere in Dolphin's own code.
