SUMMARY
The media-optical-audio icon from the device folder was designed to show an optical media (cd) with audio tracks on it. Elisa use this icons if there is no album cover available. 

I suggest to use media-default-album icon.
1. it's designed as album icon if there is no album cover available
2. it look good
3. there is also media-default-track icon which can be used in the track view

I can submit the patch to Elisa, but want to use first the bugtracker for discussion.

Hmm, interesting idea. It certainly seems to be more correct from a semantic point of view. I'd say go ahead and submit the patch.
