STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change Git Commit tool view's dock position at least once.
2. Dock Git Commit tool view at the left or at the bottom, where other tool view tabs are present.
3. Move Git Commit tool view's splitter up/down/left/right.
4. Switch to another tool view in the same dock to hide Git Commit tool view.
5. Switch back to Git Commit tool view.

OBSERVED RESULT
Either the splitter position jumps back to what it was before moving or it is moved into some other seemingly random position.

EXPECTED RESULT
The splitter position does not change on its own. For example, Breakpoints tool view works correctly.
