Summary: | When I try to sync my ios using the beta version of KDE and my arch linux (Garuda) it does sync. I can even send a ping to my pc. However when I get an SMS message I do not get the message on my pc as a notification. Locking disconnects Phone as well | ||

This is with KDE Connect? Yes when using KDE connect on both my Linux Garuda dusted and the beta version on IOS it takes a long time to load the sms and never does not load. I’ve even tried plugging in the phone but it does not load any of the text convos. (And when it gets locked it completely disconnects from my pC).

I can't tell if the app can send notifications to my computer running KDE because the Notifications Plugin on the KDE Connect settings isn't showing. Hi all, Thank you for your feedback. I interpret this feedback as reporting 2 bugs: 1. notification syncing, and 2. KDE Connect iOS not working when in the background. 1. there are no public APIs that apps are allowed to use to read your notifications or all of your messages provided by Apple, so there's a high chance we can't provide a fully functional notifications plugin, but we'll try our best to see what can be achieved. 2. please see my response here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447195. In short, we are hoping to add it in the future, but it's not possible right now. KDE Connect iOS is still in the early development phase and there are many things that remain to be implemented. We'll soon add a "features list" to the app (https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-ios/-/merge_requests/44) to better communicate which features are available and hopefully prevent confusion in the future. |
