Able to confirm on my own Arch Linux system running KDE Plasma 5.23.1. Tapping on the K menu with my stylus (Cintiq 24HD), the menu opens correctly. Hovering over a category with the pen works correctly, but then tapping on any of the applications does not seem to register as a click. Created attachment 142882 [details]
Simultaneous screen and libinput recording of attempting to click the menu
My previous reply was incorrect: hovering over the menu does not work as expected. I have attached a tarball containing a simultaneous screen and libinput recording of using the pen to interact with the menu. You can replay the libinput recording with `libinput replay <filename>` to reproduce the device and input events.
I've just tried to reproduce this bug again today and found that I am now able to interact with the menu. My Arch Linux system is currently running version 5.23.3-1 of the Plasma desktop. I don't believe I've made any configuration change that would explain the sudden difference in behavior. @OP, can you try updating your install and seeing if it resolves the issue as well? Actually, it appears that this is a duplicate of Bug 445111, which was recently resolved by https://github.com/KDE/plasma-desktop/commit/9f9dc34cadf839871a0fe6fc7e3b412f9f2b028d *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 445111 *** You are lucky! But don't hesitate reporting bugs when you meet them in the future, because the more times bugs are reported, the higher the chance of fixing them. |
