Description yonnieyonsta 2021-10-16 17:41:33 UTC
Suspend causes the monitors to blink off for a few seconds and then turn back on. Panel can disappear after suspend event.
Sleep causes the primary monitor to not turn back on after waking, secondary monitors seem to wake up ok.
Hybrid Sleep kills primary monitor after waking
Shutdown works

 Operating System: PCLinuxOS 2021
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.14.10-pclos1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD CEDAR

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Live USB suspend not working, Sleep kills primary monitor, Shutdown works

Additional: The video card is a 3 monitor card with 3 DVI outputs and the System Settings reports the primary monitor is on DisplayPort-3. There is no DisplayPort #3 on this computer. Computer is a Dell Optiplex 5050
Comment 1 yonnieyonsta 2021-10-16 17:48:03 UTC
display resolution stays at 1080x1920. After suspend blinking off/on the panel can be gone but will reappear after a poweroff/poweron cycle. Panel is not hidden, it seems to have just forgot to load after suspend failed to stay in suspend.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Plasma 5.25 or 5.26?

If it is, please add a comment with the output of `kscreen-doctor -o` and change the status to CONFIRMED. If not, or if you can't because you no longer use this setup, you can change the status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME. Thanks a lot!
