Description Kevin Thomas M. 2021-10-16 14:05:09 UTC
SUMMARY
During the Plasma 5.23 or 25th upgrade, the package ksystemstats (plugin based system monitoring daemon) was removed alongside with the rest of the packages for some reason.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Just update your KDE Neon system after (14.10.21) which is the release day of the 25th or Plasma 5.23 update and you will notice the removal of the package afterwards.

OBSERVED RESULT
The package ksystemstats (plugin based system monitoring daemon) was removed alongside other packages after the upgrade.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should remain installed, it is an important package for the monitoring widgets, if i' am not mistaken.

Comment 2 Adrien Beau 2021-10-17 14:42:40 UTC
As explained in #443888, the consequence of this dependency issue is
that the Plasma System Monitor does not show any data for CPU, memory,
network, etc. after the upgrade to Plasma 5.23.0.

Manually installing ksystemstats restores the missing functionality.
