If you are using the default Breeze icon Icons it will show the Breeze icon instead of the broken icon image. Unfortunately, even with the Breeze icon scheme enabled you can't use non-Breeze icons for the bookmarks, and I find the Breeze icons washed out and hard to distinguish from one another, so I'd just as soon have the 'busted icon' icon. |
Created attachment 142381 [details] Screen Shot SUMMARY On Kubuntu 21.10 beta when I used keditbookmarks to change icons for regular folders the changes do not stick & a generic icon appears, both in the Bookmark Editor & in my Konqueror Bookmark Toolbar. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Book mark folder 2. Open keditbookmarks and give the folder an icon. 3. Icon appears in keditbookmarks, but a generic icon is displayed on konqueror's bookmark toolbar. When I reopen konqueror even in the Bookmark Editor the icons are generic. OBSERVED RESULT Curiously, when I bookmark a group of tabs as a folder the folder can be assigned an icon. EXPECTED RESULT Folders use the assigned icons in the Bookmarks Toolbar SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 4:5.22.5-0ubuntu1 (plasma-desktop) KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0-0ubuntu1 Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using the Oxygen theme if that matters. I know I'm using a beta version, but Impish will be released as a regular version in a couple of weeks. Also, another novel konqueror observation, while using it as a file manager the network drives that appear in my fstab appear shadowed even when I try to hide them. They don't appear in dolphin.
