SUMMARY
I have been looking for the past two years to a real solution to the Linux problem that causes the DE to report incorrect results when coping to a USB pen drive.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Copy a 1 GB file to a USB pen drive.
2. Observe that the transfer completes very fast
3. Remove the pen drive once the notification reports that the transfer was completed.

OBSERVED RESULT
Incorrect status of completion, because when the contents of the USB are examined they don't match the original file.

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasma should at least report when a transfer truely completed.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.14.7-xanmod1-cacule-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have been advised by the Manjaro community to rather unmount a USB device properly before pulling it out, although that doesn't fix the problem that most new users will face in that Plasma incorrectly reports that the transfer is completed.
