Sentry Crash Report:

Description David 2021-09-21 03:08:09 UTC
SUMMARY
Oftentimes, launching a new dolphin instance when I have 2 or 3 already opened dolphin windows will take a couple seconds, despite the CPU and disk being almost idle. Other apps launch instantaneously.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch a few dolphin windows.
2. Use computer normally.
3. Launch another dolphin window by middle-clicking the task manager (assuming it's configured to launch a new instance on middle click).

OBSERVED RESULT
Takes unreasonably long to launch dolphin some times. Other times it launches immediately.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin should always launch instantaneously.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

Hello! You've reached the KDE bug tracker, which is for tracking and investigating specific bugs. Unfortunately there is not enough information in here to proceed or pinpoint where a bug (if any) in KDE code might be. Can you please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting and add more information here, including why you think it might be a bug in any KDE software?
If you read through that wiki page and don't feel like it's helped at all, I'd recommend closing this bug report and posting a question at https://discuss.kde.org/c/help/6, and hopefully the people there can help you.
Thanks!

I think it doesn't happen anymore in recent plasma/frameworks versions.
