Thank you for reporting. I cannot reproduce the crash following your steps. Please try with the official Flatpak or AppImage to see if this is a packaging issue. I've gone to apps.kde.org/kdenlive, clicked "Install on Linux", that prompted whether to open with "Discover" or "Add/remove software", I picked the first, installed it and clicked "Launch". I got a KDEnlive instance with default settings and the bug does not occur in there. But now I can't figure out where that was actually installed, so I can't create a shortcut to it. And even if I right-click on the entry in the window list and click "Start new instance", I get my old version back. How do I figure out where this new installation is located? I guess discover installed the flatpak version (do you have flathub repo installed?) Then in KDE apps menu, when you type "kdenlive" you should have 2 icons, try to identify which launches the new one. Or maybe remove the distro version to be sure to use the flatpak? I uninstalled both versions of KDEnlive, installed it again via yay (pacman) and got the same issue. So apparently it has to do with packaging somehow. |
