SUMMARY
While attempting to edit amount for a scheduled transaction, I wound up with a duplicate of the transaction that will show up in a transaction search or in the transaction list for the payee but not in the actual ledger. When found by transaction search and in the list for the payee, nothing can be done to alter or delete it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

I have no clue as to how this happened.

Presently relying on workaround of posting a reversing transaction to offset the amount of the phantom one.

I"m not sure why this never got addressed, but unless you still have a data file that shows this problem, I'm tempted to close this as WORKSFORME.
