(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 3.0.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

kmail lets you run a pre-command before collecting email from its mailbox. I use a pre-command to pull email from many different sources and drop it into my system mailbox. Kmail picks it up from the system mailbox.

Currently there is no way for the pre-command to inform the user if one of these sources is failing.

It would be nice for kmail to (optionally) display stdout/stderr of the pre-command. I am thinking it might look like a ppp dialer script.

thanks in advance

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
