Description M Arriaga 2002-06-19 21:04:45 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: KDE 3.0.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Gentoo
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-xfs
OS/Compiler notes:

Either in browser or file manager mode clicking the middle mouse button on the main scrollview puts the contents of the clipboard into the location bar and makes Konqueror try to display the page at that address.

If this behaviour is intended then the "Left and Middle Mouse Button Actions" section in the "Konqueror Basics" chapter of the Konqueror hand book should reflect that. (IMHO it should also be possible to disable this feature since it is very confusing to see the browser try to retrieve a page -- usually resulting in an error message because most of the time the clipboard contents aren't a valid URL -- when the user hasn't clicked on any link at all.)

Congratulations on the great work! :-)

Best regards

Manuel Arriaga
