Does this happen in GTK apps too like Gedit, or just Qt apps? How about Firefox or Chromium? What keyboard layout are you using? Do you have any options selected in System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Advanced? Good day Nate! Thanks for getting back so quickly! Here's the information you've requested: > Does this happen in GTK apps too like Gedit, or just Qt apps? It happens in both Qt and GTK apps, from GIMP to Kate. > How about Firefox or Chromium? It happens in both browsers. > What keyboard layout are you using? I'm using the Spanish-latam keyboard distribution. > Do you have any options selected in System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Advanced? I'm not using any Advanced Setting at the moment, although randomly trying 'Caps Lock uses internal capitalization; Shift "pauses" Caps Lock' seems to unlock the space bar when activating Caps-Lock, or when keeping Shift pressed while typing (to temporarily type in uppercase or lowercase). Good day to you too! If the issue affects GTK apps as well and using the setting that you found fixes it, then it's a bug in the internal XKB configuration for that keyboard layout. This is something upstream of KDE, so I would encourage you to file a bug at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/xkeyboard-config/-/issues/ and add a link to it in the URL field of this bug report. |
