SUMMARY
Pasting a complete path (e.g. Expenses:Auto:Van) into the category/account field in the ledger will not be interpreted and assigned correctly. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit/add a transaction
2. Paste a complete path to an existing account/category into the account/category field

OBSERVED RESULT
The path is not interpreted and the ęxpected account is not assigned, which can be observed by opening the drop-down list. 

EXPECTED RESULT
Account should be assigned.
