Probably already fixed in last 7.3.0. Please update.

Also we needs to know your metadata settings from config panel, especialy the XMP sidecar.

The files tagged are JPEG, RAW, PNG, TIFF, Etc... ?

Which kind of database did you use ? sqlite, mysql ?

 Gilles -
Thank you for the reply.
I have updated to 7.3.0
Most of the files are jpg or png.  For my use case the intention is to work with bitmaps only.
DB is SQLite
Not sure how best to get you the config info, so here are a couple screenshots which I hope will help - any other guidance to get you what you need would be helpful.

Thanks again,
Greg

We also need the settings from the "Behavior" tab.

Hi Greg and happy new year,

Can you reproduce the dysfunction using current digiKam 7.5.0 pre-release Windows installer available here :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Thanks in advance

I have never been able to repro this bug.

I have not seen evidence of it since updating. I also use it less.

I will keep an eye on it and report it if I see it again.

Thank you for your attentiveness.

Greg
