SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. check the "Do not show zero balance equities" in the settings
2. go to Investment
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
- in the equities tab, zero balance equities are no longer displayed as expected
- in the securities tab, closed securities and zero balance securities are still displayed, the checkbox has no effect

EXPECTED RESULT

I would appreciate to find a way
* to hide closed/zero balance securities in the securities tab
* and/or to add columns in the securities tab with the quantity/price/value of each security, in order to sort them

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
xubuntu 20.04

Right click in the header row, and you will see the other available columns.

Sorry - you are correct. I think the issue is that the securities tab just refers to the underlying security, and not anything about any shares of that security you may own. The equities tab is per investment account, and shows the amount of that security you own in that particular account.
I suspect this may need to be converted to a wish list - requesting a way to see total owenership of securities across all accounts. I would also check whether any of the existing reports might show what you want. I agree it would be a workaroung, and not a real solution, but it might work for now.
