SUMMARY

I'd like to request a feature where clicking/double clicking on the expanded version of the media player should open the browser tab/ application( like Spotify or mpv). This will make the media player more useful and increase functionality. And as with everything with KDE, this can be made toggle-able.

EXPLANATION:
1. Click on the media player icon when any media is playing/paused.
2. Click on the name/album art displayed.
3. The application/tab playing the said media opens.

Opening the exact tab in the browser is not possible, unfortunately. The browser doesn't provide that level of information and control. We could bring the app forward though. However in the case of web browsers, I'm not sure how useful it would be since much of the time, it would take you to the wrong tab.

Actually, p-b-i does support opening the tab the current player is on. If you right-click the media controller menu and click "Open" it will do that.

That's a great feature, however it only takes you to browser tabs and provides no options in case multiple apps are playing media. The icon clicking feature could be more useful though.
