My laptop model is Asus x510uf. Based on what I've found on following links, if there's a variable under /sys/class/power_supply/BAT*/ called "charge_control_end_threshold", laptop supports charge limits. It looks I have such variable on my system. So it should support battery charge limit. But though this option was added on KDE Plasma 5.20, I don't see any related setting.

Next step is to find out who is in the wrong

I think we use an older Lenovo - proprietary interface whereas there is a newer standard one, cf also https://invent.kde.org/plasma/powerdevil/-/merge_requests/22
