A screenshot of the bug to help explain what is happening

SUMMARY
This is a little complicated to explain and I'm not sure if this is related to how Elisa reads the metadata of the songs but I've been experiencing a bug that doesn't seem to have been patched for a long while.

My Music folder have exactly 1838 files and 100 subfolders, with around 12 GB of songs or related files, such as album covers. I configured Elisa to show a list of artists as the embedded category on the sidebar. But I noticed how many artists are being skipped on the list but not when I select them.

More specifically, the artist names list on the sidebar is not showing all names but for those that do, select ones show the artist that was skipped. The attachment shows a few artists that were recognized. From 10cc all the way to Arceae, all display the select artist correctly. But upon selecting "Bjorn Skifs", for example, the artist displayed is actually "begoma feat. W!SE the all.E". Given how all artists are displayed in alphabetical order, this begoma was supposed to appear before Bjorn but it was skipped on the list, although it displays correctly after being selected.

This does not happen with only this artist, however. Further on the list, others are skipped, having a difference of six items on the list when selecting Dream Theater, for example, showing instead DM DOKURO, so this builds up like a snowball as more and more artists are skipped.

It may be a little hard to reproduce given how it is happening with this folder of songs specifically but I'll try help as much as I can

I just made a video that tries to better show the problem, as it still persists.

I hope this issue can be solved soon.

It would seem this issue no longer happens with me.

This was fixed in https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/elisa/-/merge_requests/368 but I somehow missed this duplicate report. Thanks for noticing!
