SUMMARY
tried updating to the latest version, but still doesn't work, tried going into settings and manually adding pen pressure but still doesn't work. I know it's not my tablet because it works fine on other programs. I'm not sure what to do, krita is my preferred drawing program..

Sorry, problems with pressure support are never bugs in Krita, and always issues with your setup. There is plenty of information on investigating those setup issues in the documentation and on krita-artists.org.
