I confirm this feature was very useful in ksysguard. Moreover, I'd remember there was a similar tooltip on the cpu usage that shown the kernel and user times. I'm not sure anymore, but there may be one also for the memory usage. +1 from me as well. Having the possibility to quickly glance the command the process was invoked with (and other related details), without having to enable the command column and scroll back and forth, seems like a very important detail. |
Created attachment 140021 [details] Screenshot of process info hint feature from KSysGuard SUMMARY I think it would be useful to show process info hint (Process ID, Parent, Parent's ID, Number of threads, Command) when cursor points to name of a process in Processes view. For example, there are many processes with same name but with different commands which ran them - so with it users can easily determine specific process. This feature from KSysGuard is missing in Plasma System Monitor.
