I can't replicate that effect using that particular font, or any font.
Also, I don't have the 'highlights' on the font lettering, which is strange.

Can you attach a .kra file that shows this effect?

My problems noted in my previous comment were only on a Linux system, which I need to investigate.

With Windows, the font looks fine.

I think your problem is because the Range value is less than 100%. I've no idea what that area of options is supposed to do.
Try setting the Range to 100%.

It happens, if you set spread to 5%
Without it works. thats weird.

Well ok, ive seen, also with spread 0% it's not 100% perfect. on the "W" in test file there still is a small black thingy.
Comment 8 Ahab Greybeard 2021-07-14 16:12:50 UTC
With Quality-Range set to 100%, I don't see any artifacts no matter what the Spread is set to.
I see the black background showing through in places where the Elements-Spread/Size is not large enough to cover it, as might be expected.

Photoshop

y, but if i turn spread to 100% on some letters it also doesn't fit completely. Take a look onto the W. In photoshop it worked with same settings (see screenshot)

oh wait, you are right, with quality range 100% it worked. thx much.
