waiting for thumbnails previews to generate
Tiffs are from scanned images made with Xsane. High resolution, typicaly 2400 dpi 16 bit greyscale. 75 to 150 Mb sized files unable to install backtrace code at this time to give more details.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it was reported on an older version, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a more recent software version?

Recently upgraded to opensuse 15.6, and  Gwenview 23.08.5 ,seems to work. No crash in the thumb view generation.
