SUMMARY

Launching an application through the panel, krunner or latte-dock doesn't instantly work. Only when launching a different application, the previously clicked application is being launched


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a Wayland session
2. Launch an application using the panel or krunner
3. Observe no effect
4. Launch another application
5. Notice how the previously selected application launches

OBSERVED RESULT

The previously clicked application is being launched, instead of the application clicked.


EXPECTED RESULT

To "just" launch the application clicked

Bug 438313 appears to be the same but that one says it's fixed in frameworks 5.83 and we're both seeing it in that version.

That is because the 5.83 tar used by Neon was an early pre-release one lacking the fix that was later added in the final 5.83 tars.

A new Neon build of kio 5.83.0 with the fix added is currently under way
