The crash of the symbol dialog is known, but the problem is due to a KF5 component that we use and does not work correctly under MacOS. The symbols / images should be part of the collection. Then the image must be drag&drop onto the tag and set as a preview. Maik Thx Maik for your response. Is there a possibility to put images/symbols outside digikam into the collection ? Where are they saved on macOS ? Which size should they have ? Best regards, Stefan Hi Stefan, Usually tags thumbnails are icons, with a max size of 256x256. No need more. You can register a dedicate collection in the digiKam database storing all your files that you needs. Using PNG format will be the best choice, but it's not necessary. WebP for ex must work as expected with better size compression ratio that PNG due to use wavelets compression. Q: did you try the last 8.0.0 release ? Best regards Gilles Caulier The solution listed in comment #3 must be enough. I close this file now. Gilles Caulier |
