SUMMARY
aur/kdenlive-git 21.07.70.r14404-1 [installed: 21.07.70.r14523-1]


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. get really short video (just few frames)
2. put Auto Mask on it and align
3. press Analyse
4. wait VERY LONG time (any video length - no difference!)
5. at the very end my AMD 5950X goes to reboot ~_~


yeah i know AMD is unstable crap, but Auto Mask is not working too

same

very slow going progress bar on very short video and nothing at the end

Thanks for your report!

Due to many bugs and instability the "Auto Mask" effect is deprecated and removed in MLT 7 (mlt is Kdenlives media backend). Consequently the Auto Mask effect is removed in the next Kdenlive release 21.08 and I am going to close this report.

You can e.g. use the "Motion Tracker" combined with a "Spot Remover" effect instead.
