Screenshot of my volunteering schedule with ambiguous fridays.

For lack of any other better place, I'm filing this against the kde.org product in the hopes it'll get assigned to the right web folks.

I signed up for some Akademy volunteer shifts this year using the https://volunteers.akademy.kde.org/ app. When looking at the "my schedule" page, it indeed shows my shifts, which is great and all, but in my great excitement to get involved I didn't realize that my Friday shifts are meant for /next/ Friday. All the times on the site are posted in UTC which works great when you're attending in person. However, this year, it is a remote event and I'm attending from PST which is many more timezones away than my early morning pre-conference-coffee brain can reason about.

To help with better coordination in future remote events and prevent others from mixing up their Fridays from the other side of the planet, the app should throw in the numeric date. In this case it should say Friday, June 25th instead of merely "Fri". If its not too much to ask, it'd be great to have times displayed in the user's local timezone instead of always UTC, or at least make it very clear the times displayed are in UTC.
