SUMMARY

Since the update to 5.22, plasma-disks can read the SMART error log of disks, and display a warning about disk instability in case of error entries.

Some hard disks are shipped with not all unreliable sectors detected in the factory, leading to uncorrectable errors on first access which show up in the error log. This leaves the user with two options:

1. Keep seeing a notification that a disk is unstable at every login.
2. Exempt plasma-disks from watching that disk, suppressing further errors as well.

Both options are bad, because they do not enable the user to distinguish between the status quo on the (still perfectly fine) disk, and the disk actually beginning to fail later.

A functionality should be added that allows a user to dismiss error log entries. Then, only when further errors are logged or SMART health indicators begin to fail, the warning should be displayed again.
