SUMMARY
When doing background operations/the contents of the current folder changes frequenty, konquerer closes without message

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Do a larger background job as move/copy with multiple files
2. Leave konquerer in directory open when doing the job
3. -> Konquerer closes most of the time

OBSERVED RESULT
Crash

EXPECTED RESULT
No crash/operating finishing without problem

Can you provide a backtrace of the crash? Also, are you referring to Krusader or Konqueror?

Krusader is crashing (sorry).
Found out, the problem is the preview. If the content of the directory changes (fast) and the preview is activatd, it crashes pretty reproducibly. 
When I turn of previews (always show preview off), no crashes anymore.

The preview issue is solved in the git version of Krusader (see bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425528); you can follow the instructions in https://invent.kde.org/utilities/krusader/-/blob/master/INSTALL to build the most recent version of Krusader by yourself.
