SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install vosk-model-fr-0.6-linto-2.0.0 or the same model in 2.2.0
2. Update the speech to text configuration to vosk 0.3.30, SRT 3.4.1
3. Use the speech to text normally

OBSERVED RESULT

The speech to text run but after the process there is no subtitle in the timeline. Before the update of the speech to text configuration that worked.

A try the same configuration on a Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS i have the same result.

Thank you for reporting. I updated vosk to vosk 0.3.30, SRT 3.4.1. Speech to text seems not to work with vosk 0.3.30, SRT 3.4.1 anymore.

Thanks for your reply. So is there any solution to reuse the speech to text ?

Before a fix is available you can try to set back the vosk version. Open a command window (under Windows: window+r -> type "cmd") and type "pip3 install -I vosk==0.3.22" (without " sign). This will install vosk version 0.3.22 and the subtitle should work again.

@emohr: I can report that I have vosk 0.3.30 running here. (I also successfully used 0.3.27 before that) Both in kdenlive 21.04.1 on a windows machine.

Thanks for the feedback, interesting. I tested it on Win7 with Kdenlive 21.04.2. Which Win10 build do you have?

I run windows 10, but I _also_ had problems with 21.04.2. Could you try 21.04.1 instead?
